Starfall Odyssey Not Launching on Windows

Applies to Game: Starfall Odyssey

Symptoms: The game process appears briefly in Task Manager, then exits without an error window.

Work through these fixes in order — most launch failures are resolved by step two.

  1. Verify game files in Steam (Library → Gear → Verify).
  2. Install the latest Visual C++ Redistributable (2015–2022, x64).
  3. Temporarily disable overlays (Discord, MSI Afterburner) and retry.
  4. Delete the shader cache folder and relaunch to rebuild it.
  5. If the issue persists, check that your antivirus has not quarantined Meridian.exe.
